Ads in Monocle magazine and an upcoming collaboration with international designer Albertus Swanepoel are proof that BENCH has truly gone global. Through the brand’s EDITED stores, however, it also offers a view of essential design from around the world.
Besides premium pieces from BENCH, Edited stores have also begun carrying items from distinctive foreign brands. Shoes from New York-based cool kid label Opening Ceremony and London brand SWEAR, Japanese-inspired selvage jeans made in Canada by Naked & Famous, and minimalist specs from French eyewear brand See Concept are part of this select assembly of influential global brands.
To conjure the spirit behind each brand, B/BLOG created a series of short fashion films. On top model Jessica Yang draped lazily on a hotel bed or bombshell Kate Bautista doing wild karaoke, BENCH clothes blend perfectly with Naked & Famous jeans or Opening Ceremony sneakers. This is certainly a brand for the world.
