Visiting from New York is Christine Braganza, a personal shopper at high-end shopping spot Saks Fifth Avenue. Wearing a navy-black Herbench combo that showed off legs for days, Christine stood out strolling down Bonifacio High Street—especially in the extra-chic Valentino heels she towered in. Having helped dress everyone from football stars to the Big Apple’s Mayor Bloomberg, the stylista gave B/BLOG some tips to stay on top of the season.

B: Tell us about the outfit you’re wearing!

C: I think navy and black is really strong for every season. A lot of people are scared to mix navy with black because they feel like they should always be mixing it with brown, but I think that it’s one of the easiest combos. Bench has these great basic pieces: the skirt, I thought, was so cute and I found the matching top for it, too. Together, it’s perfect if you want to wear something comfortable throughout the day but then still be kind of dressed up to go to a bar at night.

To look even better, what are some things women should keep in mind when shopping?

I think it starts with foundations like underwear. 90 percent of women wear the wrong bra size. It’s having that fine attention to detail that helps build your outfit. I also think that every woman just needs to be open when they come in and shop.

Can you give us some hot style tips for summer?

I think for the summer, we’re still gonna see a lot of digital prints. Also, matching a crop top with a high-waisted skirt, ‘cause every girl likes to show off her booty and a midriff, but still be classy with a “C.” And I think we’re gonna keep seeing new younger designers take over and shape fashion, becoming more accessible to younger people. And I actually do think that Bench, especially the Edited store, is doing a good job of getting to that level.
