As the chef behind the Bistro Group that owns restaurants like Italianni’s and T.G.I. Friday’s, Josh Boutwood has likely fed your entire family. His kitchens have dished out the sort of festive grub that goes well with beer and encourages sharing. When he isn’t cooking up new ideas for party platters, however, Chef Josh kicks back at home and digs into a bowl of Beer and Oats.

Nodding to the chef’s English roots, the pairing makes for ultimate comfort food what with the heartiness of oats and the bready buzz of flavor from Pale Pilsen. If you aren’t enjoying it on a crisp December morning, it might do that holiday hangover some delicious good.
